Robert completed his internship as a pharmacist in Johannesburg before moving to Technikon Laboratories, a pharmaceutical contract manufacturer where he spent the next 22 years as MD.
He gained broad experience from manufacturing as the sole pharmacist, to managing a large, modern pharmaceutical business with a PICs GMP approved, 14 000 m3 plant, that employed 200 people and serviced over 40 pharmaceutical customers.
After selling his interest in Technikon in a trade sale, Robert moved to Eurolab ASU, which performs aseptic manipulation of sterile oncology preparations.
As CEO, Robert guided the business towards being GMP accreditation and recognition as a world class aseptic unit within two years.
The process included the establishment of protocols and implementing QA systems for a comprehensive microbiological testing laboratory, stability testing facilities with the required people, process and product flows.
