After we have taken strong cuts from our mothers our clones get transported to our clone propagation centre where a dedicated team is ready to give these cuts the optimum environment for them to root in. As a clone needs time to develop its root system, it is essential that the cloned stem is cut in the right place using sterile equipment allowing the rooting hormone that we use to work quickly and effectively.
Once the rooting gel has been applied the clone base is pushed snuggly into a Jiffy Preforma Plug. The clones are then placed into clone domes where the humidity is closely monitored to ensure that the plants can absorb the water they need through their leaves until the clone has developed a healthy root system.
Once the root system has started to develop it is time for these little soldiers to get transplanted for vegetative growth.
